Survival when bad things happen

Survival when bad things happen to the area you are at. If hurricane, tornado, earthquake or even unrest. When these happen you need to be ready for anything. There are several companies out there with a meal in a can or bag which could be good, but you need something that you know it is good. The way this happens is that you go and get or you grow it. Well if you start with a can of rice, another with flour or oatmeal. these things you know you like. How about meat or protein. Then you need to cure your meat like smoke it real slow for 6 to 8 hours with fruitwood to give it a good flavor. The proper way is to have at least 25 lbs of protein for each person in the family. The other thing that some people forget is water. There should have 25 gals. of water per person. Now if you are in a bad situation the other thing you should have is candy. This gives you good quick energy when you need some. If you are in a family of 4 then these are things you should have is. 100 gals. of water, 100 pounds of protein, 40 lbs. of rice, 40 lbs. of flour, 40 lbs. of oatmeal, and 30 to 40 lbs. of all kinds of candy, some could be chocolate but not all of it because it makes you drink more water which you might need to ration out. This is a good rule to follow as well if you think it might last 1 month then you have at least 2 months in supplies. What we listed in this post is enough food and water for a family of 4 for 1 month. My house is a family of 2 and we have 3oo gals. of water, we have 150 lbs. of protein and 50 lbs. of candy. we also have 120 boxes of quick rice and 65 lg. boxes of instant mash potatoes along with about 50 cans of coups which we are eating now but resupply our stock. Take from the front and add to the back, good rotation process.
